Glenmount Medical Clinic is delighted to welcome Dr Rukmi Seneviratne to our team. Dr Seneviratne will commence consulting from Wednesday, 8 July 2026, and is welcoming new patients.
Dr Seneviratne graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Sri Lanka in 1997 before moving to Australia to undertake a Master of Clinical Epidemiology (MCE) at Monash University. Following the completion of her Master’s Degree, she gained valuable experience working in hospital medicine before pursuing a career in General Practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Seneviratne is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based healthcare and enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and their families. She has particular interests in Paediatrics, Dermatology, and Neurology and provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages.
Dr Seneviratne also speaks fluent Sinhala, allowing her to provide care to members of the Sri Lankan community in their preferred language.

Who's Eligible for a Government Funded Vaccine? FLU CLINIC DATES
• People 65 years of age and over
• Children aged 6 months to under 5 years
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (6 months and over)
• People with chronic medical conditions
• Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)
Everyone is eligible for a flu vaccine.
The only difference is whether you are booking as a private patient or under the government-funded program.

If you are aged 75 years or older, you may be eligible for a government-funded RSV vaccine at Glenmount Medical. RSV can cause serious respiratory illness in older adults, especially during the winter months.

Glenmount Medical Clinic is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are a well-established, family-focused mixed billing general practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare to our local community. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working collaboratively in a busy general practice environment.
Position
Registered Nurse
Casual / Part-Time – Approximately 2 days per week, with the opportunity for additional shifts to cover leave and periods of increased demand.
About the Role
As part of our clinical team, you will assist with a variety of nursing duties, including:
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Wound care and dressings
- Health assessments and care planning
- Chronic disease management
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Infection control and clinical stock management
- Supporting our GPs in delivering exceptional patient care
Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A caring, professional and patient-focused approach
Desirable
- Previous General Practice nursing experience
- Knowledge of Best Practice or MedicalDirector clinical software
- Immunisation certification (or willingness to obtain)
