The team of GPs

Dr Patrick (Zhipeng) Guan

Dr Patrick Guan completed Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Deakin University in 2012 and subsequently worked at Bendigo Health in Victoria and Mount Gambier Hospital in South Australia. From 2017 to 2019, he undertook general practice training in Gippsland in Victoria and obtained RACGP fellowship in 2019.

His clinical interests include chronic disease management, geriatric medicine, men’s health and paediatrics. He undertook further study in paediatrics by completing Sydney Child Health Program through Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Outside work Patrick enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing soccer on weekends. Patrick also speaks fluent Mandarin.

Dr Hyunjo Hur

Dr.Hyunjo Hur is from South Korea and spent her early years in the US and New Zealand. She studied health sciences at the University of Otago, Dunedin and completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2012. Her early career was spent in Geelong, Colac and Ocean Grove where she complete her training in General Practice. In 2018, she became a fellow of the College of General Practice and decided to move back closer to her family in Melbourne and join Glenmount Medical clinic. 

Dr Hur enjoys every aspect of General practice but her special interests include Women’s health, paediatrics and simple skin procedures. She is currently finishing off her diploma of child health in Westmead hospital, Sydney. When she is not at work she is spending time with her family and friends and also enjoys jogging and swimming.

Dr Koi Yi Ling

Dr. Koi Yi graduated from University of Newcastle, NSW in 2014, she then commenced her internship and residency in Western Sydney. Dr. Koi Yi did another year of acute care in emergency department before diving into GP land. Dr. Koi Yi has spent majority of her training in semi-rural areas, she enjoys serving the close-knit community. She has also completed further studies in skin cancer medicine. Dr. Koi Yi obtained her RACGP fellowship in March 2020.

Dr. Koi Yi has a special interest in women and children’s health, dermatology condition, mental health, acute and chronic medicine.

Dr Michael Gu

Dr Michael Gu is an experienced medical practitioner and a GP affiliate at the Monash University School of Medicine. Michael enjoys all areas of family medicine with special interests in men’s health, chronic disease management, travel medicine and skin cancer procedures. He speaks fluent Mandarin.

Dr Leon Tan

Leon graduated from Monash University in 1996 and has been working in general practice since attaining his Fellowship in 2000 following hospital rotations at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Box Hill Hospital and Bethlehem Palliative Care. In 2012, he completed a Masters degree in Wellness at RMIT and consults regularly on Wellness medicine. He is also an Ethics and Clinical tutor for St. Vincent’s Hospital and Monash University Medical Schools. He is married with two young children and has an interest in music and the arts.

Dr. Tan is available Monday Wednesday and Friday . Bookings are made by telephoning the Clinic only.

Allied Health Team:

Albert Yeap

Sleep Apnea Consultant Pharmacist and Credentialed Diabetes and Asthma Educator.

Originally practicing as a pharmacist in rural Murray Bridge and Barossa for 6 years, and moved to Victoria 3.5 years ago with the aim to be part of an allied care team, and assisting the clinic with diabetes alongside other chronic conditions.

Albert did his traineeship in the Alfreds and Bakers Institute and has experience in managing Type 1,2 and Gestational diabetes. Albert can also support patients who uses the insulin pump. Albert is able to conduct home visits to review your medications.

Dietician Emily Choi

Accredited Practising Dietician

Emily’s areas of interest are Weight Management, Diabetes, Nutrient Deficiency, Gastrointestinal Disorders and Paediatric Nutrition.

Emily is looking forward to working with our clients consulting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Geriatrician DR Anderson Ong

Dr Anderson Ong is a specialist geriatrician who graduated from the University of Melbourne. He has further qualifications in palliative care and public health, and has a consultant position in the public hospital network. He joins the Glenmount Medical Clinic team to provide general medical assessments of complex conditions and dementia illness.

 

Chiropractor DR Bo Yin

Dr. Bo Yin– is a compassionate chiropractic practitioner specializing in holistic care for individuals of all ages. With a focus on pregnancy care, paediatric health, and geriatric treatment, he tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each patient. His dedication to wellness extends beyond chiropractic techniques, as he emphasizes education and patient empowerment to support long-term health.

Fluent in both English and Chinese, Dr. Yin strives to ensure effective communication with patients from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment where all can feel understood and supported. His patient-centered care makes him a trusted provider for those seeking a comprehensive path to well-being.

He is available Tuesday through to Friday.

 

Physiotherapist DR Mathew Jacob

Mathew Jacob – is a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist with over 12 years of diverse experience since completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy with internship training in 2008. He has specialised in key areas, including neurological rehabilitation, orthopedics, and ICU rehabilitation within cardiorespiratory units. His career has spanned renowned hospitals, private practices, aged care, and community health, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to patient care.  Mathew places a strong emphasis on patient education, believing that informed individuals achieve better results and lead fuller lives through effective physiotherapy.

He is available on Tuesdays.

Sophie is the Practice Manager at Glenmount Medical Clinic. Sophie has worked for 7 years as a Practice Nurse, with 3 years at Glenmount Medical clinic and has now taken on the role as Practice Manager at the clinic. She is excited to be part of the team and is dedicated to ensuring that the best possible medical care and attention is delivered to all of our patients.

RN Div. 1, Accredited Nurse Immuniser

Our Registered Nurses Michelle and Sophie are highly qualified care-givers with extensive nursing experience both in hospitals and the community.They are Accredited Nurse Immunisers and offer a wide variety of health services and preventative care including wound care, ear syringing, childhood immunisations and health assessments. Michelle Zappa now holds a Nurse Cervical Screening Provider Certification.
